How it all started
Diagnostic ultrasound is now an integral part of my day-to-day practice. It has completely transformed my clinical work in that it has given me a completely new appreciation of the intricacies of musculoskeletal anatomy. Early on I started producing posts on interesting cases. Initially this was through via my YouTube channel and then later via www.theultrasoundsite.co.uk of which I am a founding tutor and which is a great resource on all things musculoskeletelal ultrasound.
In 2013 we started our introduction to musculoskeletal ultrasound weekend course. This course has been running for more than 7 years now and is very popular.Soon after this we started our introduction to ultrasound guided injections course.
It soon appeared that there was a need for more real life like ultrasound guided injection experience. We were the first group in London to deliver a cadaveric ultrasound guided injection course. This very succesful course attracts a global audience of multinational cohorts from a variety of professions and has now been running for 7 years. The latest in our portfolio of courses is our advanced course which was successfully launched in 2019 and has again proved very popular with a range of health professionals.
Along the way I have been a visiting lecturer at London South Bank University imaging module and also at Canterbury Christchurch University on their musculoskeletal ultrasound post graduate certificate programme.
Collaboration with Brunel University
In 2019 and after many years of hard work and planning with my colleagues of www.theultrasoundsite.co.uk we have entered into a successful collaboration with Brunel University delivering a postgraduate certificate in musculoskeletal ultrasound. I am now an honorary lecturer on this program and we are incredibly excited to be delivering what we think is a high quality programme in musculoskeletal ultrasound.
